***2007 brings a major project to the Packwood Community Hall. We will replacing the roof of the Hall with an updated trussed roof. We have already purchased the materials for a "drop" ceiling. This is the first step towards updating the facility for the decades to come. We are looking for donations of time, money, and items we can raffle off.
The Packwood Improvement Club is a 501-4c Non-Profit Community Club, that was incorporated in 1950. One of their main functions is to maintain the Community Building, and attached Park. The building is rented to several local organizations, and is available for rent to all Community Organizations, town meetings, weddings, and fund raisers and events by non-profit groups.
We currently host (for free) the Packwood Pre-School, memorials, and some youth nights, The Art Festival, and portions of the Mountain Festival.
This is accomplished through several fund raisers, and through the generous donation of hundreds of volunteer hours. The major fund raisers are Friday Night Bingo, Memorial & Labor Day Swap Meets, fireworks sales, and our annual Chicken Barbeque.
We are currently attempting to upgrade and remodel the Building, making it a more desirable location for dances, concerts, youth activities, weddings, and all gatherings needing a large location. Annual dues are $10
